OBEDIENCE
Running out of open doors, jumping on guests and not coming when
called all stem from the lack of control. Obedience is the foundation to
building any type of dog, whether it’s a family dog or police dog. It
allows the owner the confidence that when called, your dog will respond
accordingly to the command. The typical owner will keep the dog outside,
far away from the pack because they lack any type of control of the dog.
Keeping your dog away from his pack (the family) is not the correct way
to deal with the problems, it actually makes them worse.
Obedience commands will closely remain the same with all trainers
covering general obedience however many TECHNIQUES and METHODS are used.
We custom fit our program to fit your dog and your expectations to
obtain optimal performance. As a trainer once said, “If you don’t teach
them, they still will learn”.
Obedience typically has 3 different levels: BASIC, INTERMEDIATE and
ADVANCE along with the following commands: sit, sit stay, down, down
stay, heel auto sit, come and finish.
Basic Obedience
This course teaches the basic commands ON LEASH in either group or
private classes. This course is designed for owners that want general
control to enable them to leisurely walk their dog on a daily basis with
little or no off-leash time.
Intermediate Obedience
This course teaches our basic commands ON LEASH along with hand
commands. This course not only teaches the facets of basic, but it
extends control to you with using only signs administered through hand
gestures in communicating with your dog.
Advanced Obedience
This course teaches and gives the owner the ultimate in control and
confidence with their dog OFF LEASH. This course is for the owner that
wants to FULLY enjoy every moment with their companion. This allows you
the comfort to allow your dog to be released from the restraints of a
leash. It gives you, as the owner the confidence and showmanship of a
well mannered and controlled dog. With each state expanding laws and the
development of “Leash Free” parks, this is the ultimate in control.
(not all states allow dogs to be walked without a leash, please
check with your local authorities) |
